welcome to your new friend! i mean if you want. if you have time? i understand that you are busy. i am busy sometimes too. i'm pretty sure some of my friends think i don't like them since i don't see them much. but i just get busy! you know how it goes. anyways, i won't take offense if you have other things to do.

we're gonna have to have kind of a weird relationship though. personally, i prefer weird relationships. okay: you walk up to me once an hour and say, "what's up?" and instead of answering you i will draw a little something. keep in mind that i don't really know how to draw, so it will be pretty crappy. mostly stick figures saying stuff.

then, since you have not actually literally walked up to me, i will have to put it on the internet for you to be able to see it. and since i am at work or hanging out with other people sometimes i can't do this immediately. i'm sorry about this! i will have to scan it in at the end of the day and then through the magic of the internets, the comics will appear on this webpage thing exactly 24 hours behind when they were drawn. if you're hanging out with me in real life i can just show it to you though.

sometimes the comics will be funny or boring or dumb or sad or make me look bad or make me look good. i could tell you how this comic came out of a dissatisfaction with the personal distance that i feel in most daily journal comics. i can read journal strips for years and not really feel like i know the author at all. or i could tell you how i think it brings to light the irreducible complexity and ultimate inscrutability of the universe when you try to write anything down, try to understand any small bit of your life, even just an hour, when there is so much occuring each part seems infinitely divisible and impossible to comprehend. also sometimes when i wake up in the morning i have to pee real bad. you can e-mail me if you want to know more or tell me about yourself or threaten me or whatever.
